Warning:
This book is about teens behaving badly. If you like your teenagers sweet and cuddly…move
on to the next book. Otherwise, carry on.
Okay.
They don’t act too terrible (just hooking up, drinking and fights terrible. Not
gang banging and prostitution terrible). But I’m getting ahead of myself and
should back up a bit.
Abby
and Annika Sellers are twins. The identical kind (even though Abby wishes they
weren’t). In fact, after one last night of Sodom and Gomorrah the high school
graduation version, Abby wishes they didn’t live in the same planet.
But
she’ll settle for going to different colleges. She’s sick of being the second half of a train
wreck and wants to start over where nobody knows her as “the twin that doesn’t
put out.”
Why
Abby thought that moniker was a bad thing? No clue.
The new
school comes with a new boy. Obnoxiously hot Wes Montgomery (nice name). Even though Wes is a little too cocky for her
tastes, she can’t help how her ovaries react to him. And the longer they
interact, the more Abby comes to realize that Wes, while irritatingly arrogant,
is not such a bad guy after all.
Especially
when that hot a*s guy is coming right after her despite all her misgivings. The
bulk of my interest in this book is Wes interacting with Abby. It’s just….
Wes
Montgomery had it going ON! Sometimes you’re in the mood for your MC to be a
little edgy without veering into the Edward Scissorhands category. He wasn’t
perfect. He was a little possessive. He had a little bit of a temper (that he
showed to others but not Abby). And he was more than a little bit of a
Neanderthal. *Droooool*
(I
know…I know. Don’t judge me)
I
generally liked the book. It was a solid first effort for this writer. My only
complaint would be her twin Annika. I know that a villain had to be cast for
the story to be told but that chick was way too one sided. Annika seemed to
have no other interest than stalking her sister and making her life miserable.
Instead of coming out as the selfish and cruel twin, it was more like….
Writing:
Decent
Plot:
Predictable but still good
Recommend:
You betcha
